Auto Europa Car Rental at Toronto Airport

Toronto Pearson Airport is otherwise known as the Lester B. Pearson Airport, or simply as the Pearson Airport, and it has the official code of YYZ. The airport is named after the late Canadian Prime Minister, Lester Bowles Pearson, who was also the winner of a Nobel Peace Prize. Toronto Airport is the largest airport in Canada, and is found approximately 22km, or 14 miles from Downtown Toronto. The Toronto Pearson Airport car rental companies provide quality vehicles for passengers in need of private transport, and include Auto Europa. Auto Europa is found at many locations around the world, and are known for their reasonable car hire rates.

Toronto Airport handles over thirty million passengers per annum, and is served by a large number of airline companies. The airport is international, and out of all the airports in the world, handles the 23rd largest number of international passengers. There are two passenger terminals available for arrival and departure flights. Terminal 1 is the larger of the two, and is linked to Terminal 3 by the Link Train airport people mover system. The train also travels in a few minutes to the airport car parking grounds where some of the car rental companies park their vehicles. Auto Europa Toronto Pearson Airport have rental counters for passengers of each terminal, and they are found in the parking garages located adjacent to the buildings. Auto Europa is open during most hours of the day and night, every day of the week.

Cars rented in Canada, and at Toronto Airport, are arranged into various car groups, and are of various sizes. Auto Europa’s vehicle categories include Economy, Compact, Midsize, Standard, Fullsize, SUV and Luxury. The Luxury cars available are also some of the more expensive types of rentals, and are ideal for anyone who requires a car for prestigious occasions. They are similar to the Lincoln Town Car. The smallest cars available include the Toyota Yaris, and slightly larger vehicles for hire are similar to the Chevy Cobalt, Pontiac G6, Ford Fusion and Chevy Impala. These cars can seat between four and five passengers, and have room for a couple of luggage items. SUVs from Auto Europa will be similar to the Ford Explorer.

A quote from Auto Europa will include unlimited mileage (apart from certain luxury car models) and liability insurance for injuries or damages to persons or things outside the vehicle. Other types of insurance are not included, and will need to be added to the rental by the customer. Petrol or diesel is also not included, but if purchased at the beginning of the rental period, the vehicle may be returned as empty as possible, as no refunds are given for unused fuel. If fuel is not purchased, the car should be returned full. Customers will also need to add additional items of equipment required for their journey, such as child seats and satellite navigation systems. There are small safety seats for infants up to a year of age, child seats for children from one year to three years of age and booster seats for children aged four to seven. A GPS is recommended for all who are unfamiliar with the road network in and around Toronto.

The terminal buildings of Toronto Airport are adapted for the needs of disabled passengers, and Auto Europa hand controls for disabled drivers may also be available. The equipment is ideally used by persons with a lower limb disability, and may also include a steering wheel knob. From Toronto Pearson Airport, hand controls are free of charge, but should be reserved in advance. Any rented car from this location is also recommended to be reserved as early as possible, and online discounts may be offered. Also specify if your vehicle will be an Auto Europa one way hire, should you need to return it to a different rental location. This means that you can travel as far as you would like without having to drive back to Toronto Pearson Airport. One way hires may be more expensive than ordinary rentals, but are sometimes more convenient.

To hire a car from the majority of the Toronto Pearson Airport car hire companies, the primary renter will need to meet certain criteria. For example, the minimum age requirement is 21, and a major credit card will be required for payment. A valid drivers license will also need to be shown by all drivers listed on the rental contract, at the time of vehicle collection. In some cases, an International Driving Permit should be arranged. This document is required from the relevant authorities in your country of residence, and serves only as a translation of your local license. It is not a valid drivers license on its own. Younger renters will pay higher rental rates for additional insurance that is a mandatory requirement of all car rental companies. This could be a fee of around 35.00 CAD per day of car hire.

Driving in Toronto is quite easily achieved, as most of the roads are set out in a grid pattern. There are a couple of main roads nearby the airport, including the 401 which leads west towards Kitchener and the 407 that heads for Burlington alongside Lake Ontario. The 401 road also heads alongside the lake in an easterly direction, and to Pickering, Whitby, Oshawa, Clarington, Port Hope and Cobourg. Always follow the speed limits on the roads, and contact Auto Europa immediately should anything go wrong with the vehicle.
